Antique Toy Appraisals

The key to antique toy appraisals is to do your homework and check out the person that you are going to trust your family heirloom(s) with. Check references and find out what toys they have handled in the past.

Antique Table Lamps

Antique table lamps come in many styles, values and sizes. The deco period, around 1920, seem to be the most sought after. However, there are also many reproductions of those same styles. I find that an original chord, being two pronged and preferably silk around the outside, is a good sign of an original lamp. Next, check the shade. There should be age and patina along the inside and the glass will always be glass, not plastic. Any other tips?

In fact your network is by far the closest I saw up to now in terms of topics compared with what I am doing.

Best regards

Hi , I am new here and was wondering if you can tell from pics if this is real jade or not. It is quite hefty for it's size and has a base that it sits on as well. Thank you in advance

Hello and thanks for the e-mail.
I hope to have a moment to sit back and review the site, in between travel, volunteerism and being the guardian for my dad in a nursing home. Talk to you soon

Hi Folks! I just opened a "new" antique store in Palatka, Florida. Wish me luck on my new venture. This website looks like it will be a good to be on. P.S. I sell real estate too, especially historic homes; hence the picture of the Biltmore in the background of my photo.

Thanks for the invitation. I love the idea of having a place online where we can interact. Sometimes I have an antique that I can't find anything out about and look forward to asking the I antique online family.
